Mission Statement
Welcome to the Montrose Senior Center, operated by Golden Circle Seniors, Inc. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through community connection, nutrition, education, recreation, and volunteer service.
Our organization was officially incorporated on December 9, 1986, for charitable and educational purposes, though our roots date back to 1972 when local residents began working to establish the first senior center in Montrose. Over the years, the organization evolved from “The Golden Age” group to the “Golden Chain Club,” and eventually became known as Golden Circle Seniors.
The Montrose Senior Center exists to support and serve senior citizens by:
-
Encouraging social connection and reducing isolation
-
Offering educational, recreational, and wellness activities
-
Serving as a voice and communication link for local seniors
-
Supporting volunteerism and community involvement
-
Raising funds for special projects, equipment, and community needs
Through the dedication of volunteers, staff, and community supporters, the center continues its long-standing mission of helping older adults remain active, engaged, informed, and connected.
Any senior who participates in activities is welcome to become part of Golden Circle Seniors. There are no membership dues, and newcomers are always welcome.
The Montrose Senior Center is committed to fostering a warm, inclusive atmosphere where seniors can build friendships, enjoy meaningful activities, and experience a strong sense of community.
Join us and become part of a vibrant community that celebrates connection, lifelong learning, and active living for seniors.
